The mushroom slab eliminates the use of beams and has only a small massive area (about 20%) in the region of the columns, being ribbed in the rest. It can reduce up to 40% of the use of concrete in the ribbed area compared to the solid slab without beams.
To facilitate the logistics of your project, the ideal is the combination of beams and precast pillars next to the slab cast in place. This method is perfect for smaller areas as it avoids taking up space on the job site with lifting equipment.
Any slab built with Atex modular solutions – with beams, strips, or mushroom – can also be prestressed. Prestressing uses steel cables inside sheaths that, when pulled, lengthen and, after the jack's effort, shorten. This process imposes a compressive stress on the slab that eliminates the initial tensions related to permanent loads.

The Tubex ® system applied to the ribbed slab eliminates concrete that has no structural function, generating an additional savings of 10%. This system makes it possible to install ventilation ducts, hydraulic pipes and electric gutters crossed over the slab, increasing the free area on the right foot or allowing the building's height to be reduced.
The Atex system for slabs that combines metal beams and pillars is an agile and economical solution. The process needs little workspace, is faster and requires less metal beams even for larger spans.
The ribbed slab supported by strip beams has a single horizon of formwork and shoring, which increases productivity by facilitating the execution of the work.
